Drive-by shooting in South Fort Worth results with one person injured, report

Fort Worth, Texas – Drive-by shooting in the early morning hours in South Fort Worth results with one person shot and injured, police say.

According to the incident report, the shooting took place around 1 a.m. on Wednesday to the 3200 block of New York Avenue.

Officers were dispatched at the scene following a 911 call in regards to a drive-by shooting.

When they arrived there, the victim already was on their way to the hospital later treated for non-life-threatening injuries sustained during the shooting. Officers confirmed that the victim transported themselves to the hospital.

The shooting victim was inside the residence when the shooting took place. The police confirmed that multiple shots were fired in the incident.

There is ongoing investigation about the incident and it’s conducted by the Fort Worth Police Department’s Gang Unit.

There are no suspects at this time.
