Pleasant Grove gas station incident last week results with one man charged with sexual assault, authorities say

According to local authorities, the 22-year-old Roel Perea Perez was charged with one count of sexual assault for the Pleasant Grove gas station incident that took place last week.

The incident report indicates that officers were dispatched at the scene at the Sunoco in the 9500 block of C.F. Hawn Freeway, near South St. Augustine Drive last weekend on Saturday just before 11 a.m.

The victim’s identity was not released.

The court documents indicate that she noticed Perez at the gas station for the second time that morning. She confirmed seeing him at another gas station just across the street before she arrived at the gas station where the incident took place.

It seemed nothing suspicious to her and she was completely unaware that the suspect was actually following her there.

An affidavit states that Perez grabbed her sleeve, showed her a message on his phone that read, “Come with me, I want sex for money,” and grabbed at the leg opening of her shorts twice, managing to sexually assault her once, the Dallas Morning News reported.

The suspect was held in the Dallas County jail Friday and judge set bail at $50,000.

The victim was unhurt in the incident.
